Thanks

Thank you to those of you who have been following my painting blog and sending the nice comments. If anyone has any good book-on-tape recommendations I would love to hear them. I listen to books on CD while I paint, and it makes the time fly by. For anyone who hasn't tried it, it allows you  to be much more productive than when you have the TV on.
Here's some of my recommendations:
Janet Evanovich  (Stephanie Plum stories)
David Baldacci (Camel Club series, & anything else)
Jonathan Stroud (Bartimaeus Trilogy)
Orson Scott Card (Ender series)
Elizabeth Gilbert (Eat Pray Love)

Here's a picture of my messy little studio.

  1. My family loves the Ender Series! And I read all of David Baldacci's books! Right now I'm reading The Life of Pi, I don't know if it is offered in recorded form but I'm really enjoying it.

  2. Recent audio books I've loved painting to (I liked Bartimaeus a lot, too):
    The Help by Kathryn Stockett
Any of the Temeraire books by Naomi Novik
The Diamond Age by Neal Stephenson
Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell by Susanna Clarke
Across the Nightingale Floor by Lian Hearn
    Deep Wizardry by Diane Duane
Possession, Elementals: Stories of Fire and Ice, The Djinn in the Nightingale's Eye and The Matisse Stories by A.S. Byatt (these are among my all-time favorites: Literary, adult fairy tales often involving artists).
All except some of the Byatt are available from Audible. the others I rented from Recorded Books
